The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is a comprehensive research-intensive institution comprising ten faculties. HKU consistently ranks high among the world’s top universities. Researchers at HKU repeatedly secure the lion’s share of competitive government research funding, including through the General Research Fund, Areas of Excellence Scheme and Theme-based Research Scheme.
