January 14, 2012 (Saturday)
2:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Senate Room, 10/F, Knowles Building, The University of Hong Kong
The purpose of the forum is to provide an avenue for Convocation members to discuss the future role of the University in the context of a changing Hong Kong and China, and indeed the world. Our alma mater has made significant contributions for its stakeholders in the first hundred years since its inception in 1911. In celebration of the HKU Centenary, it is an opportune time to reflect and consider what the institution should aim to do in the coming decades.
The Convocation invited the following distinguished speakers to share with us their thoughts on the future direction of The University of Hong Kong:
Professor Edward Chen ([ģ), Former President of Lingnan University and former director of The Centre for Asian Studies, HKU
Professor Roland Chin (jd), Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost, The University of Hong Kong
Professor Sun Kwok (s), Dean of Faculty of Science, The University of Hong Kong
