Presidents and Vice-Chancellors of U21 member universities, along with Senior Leaders of the international network of research-focused universities, will come together on the University of Hong Kong (HKU) campus for the U21 2024 Annual Network Meeting and Presidential Symposium.
The theme for the Presidential Symposium this year is 'Global Universities and the Workforce of the Future'.
The Symposium, to be held tomorrow (April 25, Thursday), will explore how universities can adapt to the changing needs of society and provide students with the tools they need to succeed in our ever-evolving digital world. Professor Brian Schmidt, winner of the 2011 Nobel Prize in Physics, will explore the challenges and opportunities that genAI presents for higher education over the next couple of decades in the keynote address. The event also features four case study presentations showcasing teaching and learning best practices from National University of Singapore, The University of Auckland, University of Glasgow, and Lund University.
