Time : 10:00a.m. – 12:00noon
Venue: Room 624, Department of Psychology, Knowles Building, Main Campus, HKU
Objectives:
- To introduce key concepts in neuroanatomy, brain research and rehabilitation to the secondary school students for preparing them to attend the symposium.
- To arouse students' interest in brain research and its application in rehabilitation.
Valuable experience for students:
Students will be given the opportunity to learn both cellular and functional levels of human brain function. Experiments will be conducted which include animal studies and cortical stimulation of human brain. The students will also gain hands-on practice on some psychological experiments. This workshop provides an excellent opportunity for the students to understand how the brain system at cellular level relates to human function as a whole.
