香港大學美術博物館聯同香港大學博物館學會邀請劉馨蓮女士和楊智深先生主持一系列“論茶清敘”週末講座。

資深茶藝導師，現任雙魚茶館主持人。具多年教導不同年齡及國籍人士經驗，曾多次出任香港政府及香港大學茶藝導師。

Global Trends and the Prospects for China-US Relations
The China–US relationship is increasingly complicated by domestic politics in both countries and global issues. In America, “China bashing” has been a feature in this year’s presidential campaigns. In China, many political elites advocate stronger policies and measures to counter what they believe to be US schemes to contain and destabilize China. In reality, the concerns and apprehensions in each country about the other are related to a variety of global and regional problems such as financial turbulence, ethnic tensions and uneven development.

China and the United States share a great deal of common interest in coping with these global challenges. However, geostrategic and military competition between the two giants seems to be inevitable, and the gap between their political systems and values remains unbridgeable in the foreseeable future. In these competitive dimensions, strategic dialogues and crisis management mechanisms should be improved to avoid confrontation.
