港大頒發長期服務獎表揚忠心服務員工
香港大學的181名非教學人員，將於二月十五日（星期二）獲頒發長期服務獎，以表揚他們多年來忠心為港大服務，作出貢獻。頒獎儀式由港大校長徐立之教授主禮。今年有10名員工獲頒發35年長期服務獎， 獲頒發25年及15年服務獎的員工分別有49及122人。頒獎禮詳請如下︰

Criminal Defamation in the New Media Environment - The Case of the People's Republic of China
Since 2008, a series of controversial incidents involving prosecution for criminal defamation have aroused immense public attention in the People's Republic of China (China). This talk will provide detailed analysis into this area of criminal defamation in China. The finding is based on a larger research project, which involves the analysis of a total of sixty criminal defamation cases occurring in China in the past three decades. In particular, the talk will discuss the relationship between criminal defamation, online activism, and local protectionism. It will also examine interventions by the central authorities in Beijing to halt the rising trend of criminal defamation prosecutions and discuss the possibilities of criminal defamation reform in China. The speaker Dr. Yan Mei Ning is an associate professor with the Cheung Kong School of Journalism and Communication of Shantou University.

香港大學舉行《2010年度卓越教研工作頒獎典禮》
香港大學將於2月17日 (星期四) 舉行《2010年度卓越教研工作頒獎典禮》，以表揚及嘉許校內學者在教學及科研工作上的傑出成就。這一年一度的典禮將由港大校長徐立之教授主持，港大校務委員會主席梁智鴻醫生擔任典禮的榮譽嘉賓。典禮上將頒發六大組別的獎項，包括大學卓越教學獎，傑出教學獎、傑出研究生導師、傑出青年研究學者、傑出研究學者、以及最佳研究著作獎。今年大學在傑出教學獎下增設團隊獎，向多位合作為教學而努力的老師致意。典禮詳情如下︰
