The 26th Biennial Intervarsity Games Kick-Off Ceremony

The 26th Biennial Intervarsity Games Organizing Committee will hold a Kick-off Ceremony for the event  on March 17 (Tuesday).

Ms. Vivien C.C. Lau, Vice-President of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong; and Hong Kong Artist Mr. Alfred Hui will be the guests of the ceremony.

Ms. Lau and Mr. Hui are both HKU alumni. Ms. Lau was the Bronze Medalist of Tenpin Bowling in 1978 Asian Games while Mr. Hui was admitted to HKU through Sports Scholarship Scheme for his outstanding achievement in Soccer.

The Biennial Intervarsity Games (BIG) has been organized for over a 60-year period. With over 700 students participating this year, the BIG will continue to foster friendship among the participating universities from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia etc.
