HKU to hold Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions 2015
06 Nov 2015
The University of Hong Kong (HKU) will hold an Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions tomorrow (November 7, Saturday). This is a golden opportunity for prospective students and their parents to understand HKU admissions arrangements and requirements. This year, HKU together with leading universities in the UK and France provide two new Dual Degree programmes for undergraduates. Details of the programmes will be announced at the Admissions Talks on the day.
The Information Day aims to introduce HKU’s academic programmes and curriculum, campus facilities and student activities to members of the public, in particular secondary school students, teachers and parents. Two admissions talks hosted by Dr. Philip Beh, Chairman of University Admissions Committee; and Professor John A. Spinks, Director of Undergraduate Admissions and International Student Exchange, will be held at the Grand Hall, Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre, Centennial Campus, the University of Hong Kong for interested parents and students to have an understanding of the admissions arrangements and requirements through JUPAS and non-JUPAS.
The details of the two Dual Degree programmes in collaboration with two leading universities in the UK and France will be covered in the Admissions Talks as well.
In order to provide the most updated programme information and admissions requirements to the visitors, information booths of all ten HKU faculties will be set up by the faculties and talks will be held on the wide variety of academic programmes offered. Teaching and learning facilities and halls of residents will be open to the public for a glimpse of HKU’s campus life.
To facilitate the students and their parents who could not personally visit the HKU Information Day, some featured programmes will be webcasted online, including the admissions talks, some programme talks of the faculties and student sharing sessions.
