HKU Faculty of Dentistry receives $1 million donation from Dr Richard Lee

The Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong has received a HK$1 million donation from dentist and philanthropist Dr Richard Shing Kwong Lee.

Faculty Dean Professor Thomas Flemmig said the contribution will help the Faculty move forward in a tremendous way, and the money will be used for educating and research in digital dentistry.

In recognition of the donor’s generosity, a cheque presentation ceremony officiated by Dean Professor Thomas Flemmig and Honorary Professor Tak Wah Chow was held on Feburary 16, 2016.

Attending the ceremony were Dr Richard Shing Kwong Lee, Faculty Dean Professor Thomas Flemmig; Professor Tak Wah Chow; Executive Director of HKU Foundation Ms Bernadette Tsui; Director of Development and Alumni Affairs Office Ms Kitty Wong; Associate Director of Development and Alumni Affairs Office Ms Shirley Lo; Associate Dean (External Relations) Dr Chun Hung Chu; Professor Lijian Jin; Professor Wai Keung Leung; Faculty Secretary Mrs Yvonne Koo, and nearly 30 Faculty officials.
