HKU to host Equal Opportunity Festival 2016

HKU will host the Equal Opportunity Festival 2016 with the theme “Think Differently, Embrace Diversity” focusing on disabilities discrimination and support for special educational needs from October 27 to November 11, 2016. A series of event including talks, training sessions, exhibitions, seminars, and book exhibition will be held during the period.
The opening ceremony will be held on October 27 (Thursday). Professor Alfred Chan, Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Commission will be the Guest of Honour, and Professor Peter Mathieson, President of the University of Hong Kong, will officiate at the Ceremony. The Inauguration Ceremony for the Equal Opportunity Student Ambassadors will also be held on the occasion. Some booths organized by NGOs including Dialogue Experience, Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association, SAHK, Silence and Equal Opportunities Commission, will be open during the day.
