The Law and Technology Centre of the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) will host a one day symposium on September 4, 2018 (Tuesday). The Symposium brings together local and international scholars, regulator, non-governmental organizations, social workers and youth to engage in an interdisciplinary dialogue. It provides a platform to examine cyberbullying in Hong Kong and explore different measures to address the problem of cyberbullying, including legal and regulatory reforms.
Members of the media are invited to cover the first two panels (9:30am – 1:00pm) during which the Privacy Commissioner Stephen Wong will offer his perspective, Hong Kong and Canadian legal scholars will present their studies, including the findings of the attitudes of more than 2,000 Hong Kong high school students on personal data exposure. In addition, representatives from NGOs in Singapore and Hong Kong will share their experiences in empowering youth in this Internet age. Details are as follows:
