A total of 66 research postgraduate students were awarded in recognition of their outstanding academic performance on December 12, 2018 (Wednesday) at the Award Presentation Ceremony of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Graduate School.
HKU Court Member Dr Alan Yu, President Professor Xiang Zhang, Vice-President (Research) Professor Andy Hor and Dean of Graduate School Professor Mee Len Chye officiated at the ceremony.
The recipients were selected based on the quality of their thesis and academic performance. They included six students for the Li Ka Shing Prize, 10 students for the Award for Outstanding Research Postgraduate Student and 50 students for the University Postgraduate Fellowships.
Awardees who were recipients of other prizes, such as Hong Kong PhD Fellowships, Croucher Foundation Fellowships/Scholarships, Dr Edwin Leong HKU-Cambridge Hughes Hall Scholarships, Fulbright-RGC Hong Kong Research Scholar Award Programme and the Three Minute Thesis Competition Awards also attended the ceremony.
