The HKU-Standard Chartered Hong Kong 150th Anniversary Community Foundation FinTech Academy (HKU-SCF FinTech Academy) will hold a Scholarship Presentation Ceremony later today (November 3) to present scholarships for a second year to students of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) with outstanding academic achievements.
The event is held during the Hong Kong FinTech Week 2021 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
A total of 11 students studying pogrammes in Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Financial Technology [BASc(FinTech)] , Master of Science in Financial Technology Data Analytics [MSc(FTDA)] and Master of Science in Computer Science (Financial Computing Stream) [MSc(Cs) Financial Computing Stream] are awarded.
Ms Mary Huen, CEO, HK, Standard Chartered and Co-chair of HKU-SCF FinTech Academy; and Professor Tak-Wah Lam, Executive Director of the HKU-SCF FinTech Academy and Head of Department of Computer Science in HKU, will officiate at the ceremony.
The HKU-SCF FinTech Academy will also announce on the occasion the details of a FinTech Talent Study conducted jointly with Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and Cyberport. The Study will examine the current and upcoming demand on FinTech talents for financial services industry in Hong Kong, and explore the challenges and supports needed from the market related to FinTech talents.
