Dr. Yan Xiaojun, Director of Research Hub on Institutions of China at the University of Hong Kong thanked Mrs. Cha for her informative talk. He said, “We are encouraged by the enthusiastic response from the HKU community to the fascinating talk by Mrs. Cha. Her insights would most definitely help deepening our understanding of Hong Kong's unique status and advantages under the ‘One Country, Two Systems’ Policy.”
A Fireside Chat session with Mrs. Cha after the speech was moderated by Dr. Yan. During the conversation, Mrs. Cha discussed and shared her views on different important topics, including Hong Kong's future economic outlook, how can Hong Kong strengthen its role to support and enhance connectivity with China’s capital markets as well as some Chinese firms’ recent decision to delist from the New York Stocks Exchange.
“The Dialogue” Forum is a new initiative launched by RHIC since Fall 2021, aiming to bring together opinions and perspective from China and the West and fostering exchange and communication globally. The forum invites distinguished speakers from various sectors globally to share their views on how to deal with future challenges the world is to face and aim to provide a high-quality platform for both intelligent and constructive conversation on the most crucial topics of our times.
