The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is the first and oldest institute of higher learning in Hong Kong, home to 13 declared monuments and graded historic buildings, and an integral part of the city’s cultural heritage.
With the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region celebrating its 25th anniversary and the University marking its 111th anniversary, HKU and the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO) jointly present the launch of “HKU Heritage Sights and Sites”, a heritage promotion and education initiative.
With an audio-guide feature to enhance the user experience, the initiative aims to encourage people from all walks of life to discover and value the richness of Hong Kong’s built heritage – starting with the exquisite design and craftsmanship of monuments and historic buildings on and around HKU’s campus.
