A total of 11 students from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) embarked today (September 21) on a journey to Hangzhou to participate in volunteer training and service work for the 19th Asian Games being held there. The selected student volunteers will spend ten days in Hangzhou, primarily assisting with the tennis competition.
The Asian Games organizing committee aims to deepen Hong Kong students' understanding and awareness of the nation's development through this event. Additionally, it seeks to enable Hong Kong's youth to utilize their English language proficiency to foster stronger exchanges with young people from across Asia, beyond just athletic competitions.
