The "2023 Future Science Prize Week" is set to take place for the first time in Hong Kong this October. As a strategic partner of the event, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) will join forces with the Future Science Prize and Tencent Foundation to co-host the inaugural "2023 Asian Young Scientist Fellowship Annual Conference" on October 16 (Monday). A series of keynote speeches and seminars will unfold at Rayson Huang Theatre on the HKU campus, showcasing the research achievements of Asian young scientists while fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and innovative discussions among them.
The first cohort of twelve researchers from the Asian Young Scientist Fellowship, hailing from top universities in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Mainland China, will attend the annual conference to present their research findings. Over 200 scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, and educators from Hong Kong, mainland China, and around the world will participate in talks and forums, to collaboratively explore how science can address the pressing challenges faced by humanity today.
The "2023 Asian Young Scientist Fellowship Annual Conference " will commence with opening remarks from Professor Xiang Zhang, President of HKU, and Professor Hong Ding, T.D. Lee Chair Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Chair 2023 Asian Young Scientist Fellowship Annual Conference Programme Committee. The conference will feature lecture sessions spanning life sciences, material sciences, mathematics, and computer sciences. Additionally, the 12 researchers of the 2023 Asian Young Scientist Fellowship will be honoured at an award ceremony during the conference.
