The Centre on Contemporary China and the World (CCCW) at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) will host an inaugural conference, titled “A Renewed Hub and a New Horizon” on December 15 (Friday).
The inaugural conference will offer a comprehensive program, featuring keynote speeches, fireside conversations, and panel discussions with distinguished scholars, diplomats, and practitioners from Hong Kong, mainland China, and across the globe.
The event will explore important topics including science and technology transformation, climate change and alternative energy, economic and financial reforms, political leadership and generational transition, public health in an active ageing society, and the evolving geopolitical landscape with a focus on the Sino - U.S. relationship.
In view of space constraints, the number of media representatives staying at the press position inside the venue will be limited to three per TV station and two per other mass news media organisation. Each media organisation is allowed to set up one camera only.
Media representatives are required to complete the reply slip and send it to hkumedia@hku.hk by noon on December 13 (Wednesday) to confirm attendance.
The event details are as follows:
Date: December 15, 2023 (Friday)
