In commemoration of the International Women’s Day, Professor Celia Hoi Yan Chan of the Department of Social Work and Social Administration at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) led a study to explore Women's Quality of Life and Public Attitude toward Gender Equality in Hong Kong. This study is co-hosted by the Hong Kong Federation of Women's Centres.
The study involved an online survey, with data collected from 1,287 respondents, including 603 males and 684 females. The respondents were sampled through various community networks and social media platforms. The findings reveal the impacts of gender stereotypes on the quality of life for female respondents, and the differences between male and female respondents regarding gender equality.
The research team will present and discuss the findings at a media conference. Details are as follows:
