HKU's Medical and Health Research Network consists of a multidisciplinary group of academic researchers from Faculty of Medicine and Social Sciences. It was formed to support and conduct health care policy research; and to disseminate finding for planning purposes in order to improve access to high quality health care in Hong Kong. Its mission is to stimulate cross-disciplinary scientific enquiries into ways in which the Hong Kong health care services can best be organised, funded and delivered.
A memorandum signing ceremony for the Joint HKU-Harvard Executive Certificate Programme on Health Sector Reform and Sustainable Financing will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2001 at 4:45pm in the Convocation Room (Room 218), Main Building, the University of Hong Kong. Professor Barry R Bloom, Dean, School of Public Health of Harvard University and Professor Ian Davies, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong will attend the signing ceremony.

HKU to organise Certificate Programme jointly with Harvard

The Medical and Health Research Network of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the School of Public Health, Harvard University will jointly organise a HKU-Harvard Executive Certificate Programme on Health Sector Reform and Sustainable Financing. The programme aims to train local professionals in two areas: the analysis of health sector performance and the issue of healthcare financing.
