Invitation of Faculty of Law Reception on June 8th

The Faculty of Law, The University of Hong Kong, would like to invite you and/or your reporter to attend and feature a reception hosted by the Faculty for the Master of Laws in Human Rights program and a student prize awards ceremony. Details of this reception are as follows:
Date : June 8, 2001 (Friday)
Time : 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Venue : Eliot Room, 14/F, KK Leung Building, Pokfulum Road, Hong Kong
The Masters of Laws in Human Rights, introduced in September 1999, is unique in Asia as the first ever specialized and comparative Master degree program in human rights law. At this reception, student prizes will also be presented for the following two other programs. The Jessup International Moot Court Competition is the largest and most prestigious Internatoinal law moot court competition in the world, involving approximately 1,000 students from more than 300 law schools around the world. The Professor Howard Yeung Travelling Scholarship for Chinese Studies, first introduced this year, provides students of the Faculty of Law with opportunities to enrich their knowledge and understanding of Mainland China.
Prominent guests from the Judiciary, public and private organizations, law firms, barrister chambers, and students and staff of our Faculty will attend this meaningful event.
