ILOP is an 18-month scholarship programme launched in 1996. Every year, the ILOP Steering Committee selects fifty distinguished students to participate in the following five areas of learning activities:
personal growth and leadership development, physical fitness and adventure camp
business orientation and transferable skills courses
socio-cultural research project in Beijing
courses on General Education
Mentorship Scheme
The aim of this programme is to provide students with diverse opportunities to develop their skills and talents while preparing them for future leadership roles. Since its inception, ILOP has received tremendous support from the community.
Upon completion of the programme, and provided that the participant also attains at least a second class first division honours in degree examination, he/she will be named an ILOP Outstanding Graduate.
The Fourth Graduation Ceremony of ILOP will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, July 21, 2001 at Rayson Huang Theatre of the University of Hong Kong. Professor Ian Davies, Vice-Chancellor of the University, Dr. S.M. Shen, Chairman of ILOP Steering Committee and Mr. K C Kwong will speak on the occasion. Dr and Mrs Lee Shiu will present the awards to the students who have joined the Socio-Cultural Research Projects in Beijing while Mr K C Kwong will present the certificates to ILOP Outstanding Graduates.

Fourth Graduation Ceremony of the Intensified Learning Opportunities Programme (ILOP)

Participants of this year's Intensified Learning Opportunities Programme (ILOP) will have their Graduation Ceremony on this Saturday (July 21, 2001). Dr and Mrs Lee Shiu and Mr K C Kwong, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Limited, will officiate at the ceremony.
