The symposium aims to share the University's vision and wisdom and to introduce its activities and achievements to the Hong Kong community in four important IT areas related to the development of Hong Kong. They are: 1) e-business and logistics, 2) education, 3) medical innovation and bioinformatics, and 4) urban development and environment.
The opening ceremony of the symposium will be held at 9:00am on Saturday, December 15, at the Wang Gungwu Lecture Hall, Graduate House at HKU, where Mrs Carrie Yau, Secretary for Information Technology and Broadcasting, HKSAR Government, will deliver her keynote address. Professor Ian Davies, Vice-Chancellor of HKU will also attend the ceremony and will give his welcoming address

In celebrating its 90th anniversary, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) is to organise the Symposium on IT Excellence for the Development of Hong Kong on Saturday, December 15.
