Launch of Hong Kong Legal Information Institute

The Faculty of Law will launch the Hong Kong Legal Information Institute (HKLII), a legal research facility on Hong Kong law located on the Internet. The launch will be officiated by the Hon. Mr. Justice Andrew Li, Chief Justice of Hong Kong (終審法院首席法官李國能).

HKLII is the first of its kind in Hong Kong and Asia that provides free access of information not limited to the legal profession but the general community. In this way, this will help upholding legal education and rule of law in Hong Kong.

HKLII is a joint project of the Faculty and the Australasian Legal Information Institute. It has been developed with the cooperation of the Judiciary of the Hong Kong SAR, the Department of Justice, the Hong Kong Law Reform Commission, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, the Hong Kong University Libraries, and other providers of legal information.
