Supported by The Croucher Foundation, the Workshop aims to discuss issues related to the development of a regional coastal eutrophication management model and a real-time Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) forecasting (NOWCAST) system. Hydrodynamic and water quality models, in-situ field monitoring systems and remote sensing measurements will be reviewed. Representative work on eutrophication modelling in Hong Kong's coastal waters will be presented.
The opening ceremony of the Workshop will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2002 at the Wang Gungwu Lecture Hall, Graduate House, The University of Hong Kong.
