The signing of the memorandum of understanding will mark the collaboration between the Genome Research Centre at HKU and The Centre for Applied Genomics at The Hospital of Sick Children in Toronto. The memorandum of understanding will lead to important new advances in biomedical research and advance the understanding of disease mechanisms and develop diagnostic and therapeutic methods.
The memorandum of understanding will be signed by Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, Chair, Steering Committee, Genome Research Centre, HKU and Professor Stephen W Scherer, Director, The Centre for Applied Genomics, The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. Details of the signing ceremony are as follows:

The Genome Research Centre at the University of Hong Kong will be collaborating with one of the world's leading centres for genomics research. A memorandum of understanding on collaborative initiatives in genomics research and development will be signed between the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and The Hospital for Sick Children (HSC) of Toronto, affiliated with the University of Toronto, Canada on Wednesday, January 15.
