The joint programme of the Ocean Park Conservation Foundation (OPCF) and The University of Hong Kong's Swire Institute of Marine Science (SWIMS) has seen the establishment of the Student Sponsorship Programme. Under the programme, students who study marine science at HKU are able to participate in marine conservation projects supported by OPCF in South East Asia.
The first batch of participants of the OPCF's Student Sponsorship Programme have completed their research trips to Cambodia and will report their experiences and accomplishments at the seminar. A group of four students will talk on "Marine Mammal Stranding Network in Cambodia", the next group of two students will report on "Conservation and Management of the Irrawaddy Dolphin Population in the Mekong River, Cambodia". Students and representatives of OPCF and HKU will be available for interviews.

Students of The University of Hong Kong (HKU) who have had the chance to work on marine conservation projects in Southeast Asia will share their experiences at a special seminar this Thursday (March 10).
