University Open Day at HKU Tomorrow

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) will hold its Open Day TOMORROW , on October 22 (Saturday) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Open Day aims to introduce the University's activities, programmes and facilities to the public, particularly secondary school students and teachers, careers master and parents. Teaching departments and halls of residence will be open to provide an opportunity for the general public to learn more about HKU.
At the grand exhibition hall at Loke Yew Hall, visitors could obtain general and admission information regarding all Faculties and Departments, General Education Unit and Student Support Centre. Exhibition booths of faculties and departments will also be set up at different locations on the campus and staff from faculties and departments will be happy to answer questions on admission requirements, study programmes offered in 2006-2007, and the career prospects of graduates of different disciplines.
HKU Vice-Chancellor Professor Lap-Chee Tsui will be officiating guest of the Opening Ceremony. To highlight the university's international character, Professor Lap-Chee Tsui will be in traditional Chinese costume and perform lion dance with a group of international students, followed by a sharing session with international students on the experience of cultural exchanges. Gamelan performance will be presented by a group of HKU students. Details of the Opening Ceremony are :

Professor John Spinks, Chairman of the University Admissions Committee, will introduce the programmes offered and life on the campus, in a series of recruitment talks where our current students will share their experience with all. Details of the talks are as below:

To enhance our understanding in the learning lives at HKU and the contemporary expectations of university graduates, Professor Cheng Kai-ming, Senior Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor, will deliver a talk to share his views and experience. This talk is specially designed for parents of current and future HKU students, details as below:
