Entitled "Technology Management", the lecture will take place at 5:30-7:00pm on Monday, January 9, 2006, at Lecture Theatre A, Chow Yei Ching Building, The University of Hong Kong.
In his lecture, Professor Gregory will explain how the emergence of radical new technologies makes 'navigation' difficult for industrialists and policymakers. He will introduce emerging approaches to the identification, evaluation, mapping and management of technologies. Professor Gregory will also draw conclusions about the skills and capabilities that are likely to be needed to manage technology effectively in the future.
Professor Gregory is the Head of the Manufacturing & Management Division and the Institute for Manufacturing at Cambridge University. He has served on various national and international committees, including currently the National Manufacturing Forum in the UK and the US Engineering Systems Academic Council.
Professor Gregory is a Fellow of Churchill College. He is the chair of the UK Manufacturing Professors' Forum.

Professor Mike Gregory of the Cambridge University to Deliver a William Mong Distinguished Lecture at HKU

The first of the 2006 William Mong Distinguished Lectures series will feature Professor Mike Gregory from the Cambridge University to speak on the increasingly importance of managing technology as companies seek to capture value from new ideas swiftly and systematically as well as to ensure the maximum benefit from their technology assets and investments.
