HKU Professor Moves to UNESCO to Meet the Challenges of Global Education

At the end of this month, after 20 years in HKU, Dean of Education Professor Mark Bray will move to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). He has been appointed Director of UNESCO's prestigious International Institute for Education Planning (IIEP), in Paris. On 11 March 2006, he will outline targets and responsibilities in his new duties, and will comment on educational challenges facing the world in the 21st century.
