Reinventing the Construction Industry Collaboration between academia and the industry

Construction industry contributes to our prospering economy. The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University are funded by the Construction Industry Institute (CII-HK) to carry out the "Reinventing Hong Kong Construction Industry for Sustainable Development" study. It aims at identifying available opportunities and the way forward for our various construction stakeholders so as to reinvent the construction industry of Hong Kong for a more sustainable future. Starting in October 2006, this one-year study will be conducted by surveys, workshops for professionals and seminars given by international renowned academia as well as comparisons with other countries.
