HKU Running On Green Power

This October is said to be one of the hottest month in recent years. Global warming and its impact have raised increasing concerns among scientists in the world. Using hybrid vehicles is an important step individuals can take to contribute to minimizing the threat of global warming. To promote a quality environment, the Hong Kong Government has purchased a number of hybrid vehicles and proposed a 30% reduction in first registration tax for the purchase of vehicles with low emissions and high fuel efficiency in the Policy Address last month.
