CADENZA Symposium 2007: Preparing for an Elder Friendly Hong Kong

The Faculty of Social Sciences of The University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust will jointly present the 'CADENZA Symposium 2007: Preparing for an Elder Friendly Hong Kong' on January 8-10, 2007 (Monday – Wednesday). The Symposium will officially kick-start the academic component of the CADENZA project, a five-year, HK$380 million Jockey Club Initiative for Seniors designed to foster positive community attitudes toward older people and improve the quality of care and quality of life for Hong Kong elderly. At the Symposium, local and overseas renowned scholars will enlighten us on preparing for an elder friendly Hong Kong.
The Opening Ceremony of the Symposium will be hosted by Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, Vice-Chancellor of HKU and Mr William Y Yiu, Executive Director of Charities of The Hong Kong Jockey Club; and attended by distinguished guests including Dr the Hon York CHOW Yat-ngok SBS, JP, Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food; and Dr the Hon LEONG Che-hung, GBS, JP, Chairman of Elderly Commission.
