Twenty-eight activities, including exhibition, talks, forums and apprentice@HKU – a summer internship contest inspired by an American television programme hosted by Donald Trump - have been scheduled by the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) so that all students, in particular, first and second year students, can experience the different stages of career planning.
Media representatives are invited to cover the following activities:
A career exhibition is scheduled on March 7 to 9, at 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, in the Shaw Podium, HKU. Thirty-five organisations, including government departments, prominent enterprises, voluntary groups, education organisations and consulate generals will be participating . Clinical psychologists and career advisors will station at the venue to discuss one-on-one with students and give career planning advice.
The first forum, with the theme of attitudes and qualities to a successful career, will be held on March 7 (Wed), 12:45 pm to 2:00 pm, at Sun Yat-sen Place, HKU. Speakers include:
- Ms Christine Fang, Chief Executive, Hong Kong Council of Social Service;
- Mr. Charles Mok, Chairman, Snappa International Limited;
- Mr. Edward Yau, Director of Information Services, HKSAR Government.

The University of Hong Kong Careers Fair 2007 – "Drive Your Career" - will be held from March 7 to 9, 2007 at the University's main campus. This year's Careers Fair aims at guiding students for their successful career planning through a series of stimulating programmes and events with the help of clinical psychologists.
