Zen Master the Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh speaks on "True Power"

More than 300 representatives from consulates, major public and civil organizations of various nationality backgrounds gathered at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) today (May, 10) HKU to listen to the teachings of world-renowned Zen Master the Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh.
The talk entitled "True Power" is the first talk in the 10-day mindfulness guidance programme during Zen Master's visit to Hong Kong.
Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh has been an ardent advocate of the peace movement. He is one of the best known Zen masters in the West, having authored more than one hundred books of poetry, fiction and philosophy, including the bestselling Being Peace, Peace is Every Step, Living Buddha Living Christ, The Miracle of Mindfulness, Teachings on Love, and Anger. Back in 1967, he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Martin Luther King, Jr., for his efforts in promoting world peace. In 2006, he was listed by Time Magazine among the "60 years of Asian Heroes".
