Preparations for the 2008 Olympic Games

With the Olympic Games in Beijing just a year away, how well are the various preparation works and developments proceeding?
Professor Jiang Xiaoyu (蔣效愚教授), Executive Vice President of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG), will visit The University of Hong Kong (HKU) during the BOCOG's 5-member delegation trip in Hong Kong next week.
He will also give a public talk entitled "Developments of the 2008 Olympic Games" tomorrow (June 12) at HKU. Professor Jiang will share with HKU staff and students the updated developments regarding planning of the Olympic Games including ticketing, torch relay, construction of venues and facilities, and recruitment of volunteers.
The talk is organized by the General Education Unit of HKU.
