The 24th Digby Memorial Lecture: Surgical Approaches & Public Administration

The Department of Surgery of The University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine is honoured to host the 24th Digby Memorial Lecture on Friday, July 13, 2007. Professor York Y. N. Chow, Secretary of Food and Health, will be the orator of the Lecture entitled "Surgical Approaches and Public Administration".
The Digby Memorial Lecture was initiated in 1969, in honour of Professor Kenelm Hutchison Digby who was the first to make academic and professional contributions to Surgery in Hong Kong. Professor Digby held the Chair of Surgery at The University of Hong Kong from 1923 to 1945.
The dignitaries attending the 24th Digby Memorial Lecture include Professor Sir Ara Darzi, the recently appointed Minister of State in the Department of Health of the new UK Government, and Professor Huang Jiefu, Vice-Minister of the Department of Health, People's Republic of China.
Members of the press are cordially invited to attend the Lecture. Details are as follows:
