Mr Ronnie Chan to share views on Political Economy

Mr Ronnie Chan, Chairman of Hang Lung Group & Hang Lung Properties Ltd , will share with outstanding university students from the United States and 14 nations/regions in Asia his views on political economy tomorrow (July 14).
Mr Chan will be the keynote speaker at the opening ceremony of the Asia Institute for Political Economy (AIPE) summer academic programme 2007. In his talk entitled "China, India, and U.S.-Asia Relations", Mr Chan will share his view with students on how the relations between these countries/areas would affect the world.
AIPE 2007 is sponsored by HKU School of Economics and Finance, in conjunction with The Fund for American Studies and Georgetown University in Washington D.C. Launched in 2002, the 3-week programme has attracted about 200 international young leaders in the past 4 summers who gathered at HKU campus to explore the principles of free market economics and political concepts.
This year, the 67 outstanding students are from HKU as well as other top universities in Mainland China, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and the US.
In addition to conventional course lectures, students will be able to meet with those who excel in their own professions and learn from their insights into the current development and future trend of the region's political economy.
