Hon. Audrey Eu to share views on Politics with International Young Leaders at AIPE 2007

Legislative Councillor the Honourable Audrey Eu will share with outstanding university students from the United States and 14 nations/regions in Asia her views on politics tomorrow (August 3).
Ms Eu will deliver her keynote speech entitled "A New Phase of Politics?" at the commencement ceremony of the Asia Institute for Political Economy (AIPE) summer academic programme 2007.
AIPE 2007 is sponsored by HKU School of Economics and Finance, in conjunction with The Fund for American Studies and Georgetown University in Washington D.C. Launched in 2002, the 3-week programme has attracted about 200 international young leaders in the past 4 summers who gathered at HKU campus to explore the principles of free market economics and political concepts.
This year, the 65 outstanding students are from HKU as well as other top universities in Mainland China, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and the US.
In addition to conventional course lectures, students will be able to meet with those who excel in their own professions and learn from their insights into the current development and future trend of the region's political economy.

- The Honourable Bernard Chan - President, Asia Financial Group and Asia Insurance Company Ltd / Member of Executive Council and Legislative Council

- Mr Dong He - Head, Economic Research Division, Hong Kong Monetary Authority
