Distinguished Alumnus Dr Philip Chen to share wisdom on Passion for "Living" with new HKU students

Dr Philip N.L. Chen, Distinguished Alumnus of The University of Hong Kong (HKU), is to share with new students in arts programmes his passion for "living" next Monday (August 27).
Dr Chen, Chairman of John Swire & Sons (China) Limited and Deputy Chairman of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, studied politics and history at HKU and graduated in 1977 with Bachelor of Arts. After having worked with great success for years, he pursued further studies at his alma mater and obtained his Master of Business Administration in 1984.
Dr Chen will deliver his keynote speech entitled Passion for "Living" in the 2007-08 Distinguished Alumni Lecture of the Faculty of Arts. The Lecture also marks the Faculty's 2007-08 Academic Year Inauguration, and will be immediately followed by a welcome reception for the Faculty's first-year students.
The annual lecture series was launched by the Faculty in 2003 to celebrate its 90th anniversary. Each year, the Faculty would invite distinguished Arts alumni to share their wisdom with students, staff and alumni of The University.
