Current Trends in Higher Education
03 Sep 2007
In the prevailing discussion over building Hong Kong into an education hub for the region, much concern has been put onto the development of internationalization and enhancing our research strength. What kinds of infrastructure, supports and mindset are required for expanding internationalization in local universities? What do local universities need if they are to adapt to the global trend of inter-disciplinary research?
Expert educators from the USA are to share with their experiences with local scholars at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) at a forum entitled "Current Trends in Higher Education". The forum hosted by HKU's Faculty of Engineering would also involve key personnels from 5 local universities in a Roundtable Discussion to look for the way forward.
