The 176th Congregation of The University of Hong Kong

A total of 6,393 graduands will be conferred degrees at the Congregation of The University of Hong Kong this year to be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2007.

Members of the media are cordially invited to cover the event, the details are:-

Date :         November 27, 2007 (Tuesday)
Time :         2:30pm - 4:00pm
Venue :     Hong Kong Coliseum, Hung Hom, Kowloon

The Pro-Chancellor of the University, Dr. the Honourable David K.P. Li, will preside over the Congregation. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, and Guest of Honour, Dr. the Honourable Leong Che-Hung, will address the assembly.

There are 6,393 graduands this year to be awarded degrees, including 323 at the doctoral level and 2,782 at the master level. A total of 3,288 graduands will receive bachelor degrees.

Reporters and photographers should arrive at the Coliseum 15 minutes before the start of the Congregation and go to the Reception Counter (at the Brown Gate) next to the Box Office. Please bring your name card or pass for identification at the entrance. Photographers are reminded to bring their long lenses. While the Congregation is in progress, please refrain from leaving the Coliseum.
