HTCIA Asia Pacific Training Conference 2007
11 Dec 2007
Local and Overseas experts to Share Techniques on
High Technology Crime Investigation
Technology Crime Investigation and Computer Forensics are no longer just in the realm of specialist consultancies and law enforcement agencies. Incidents like digital intellectual property theft, phishing, malware attacks, corporate espionage, and data leakages means that security personnel from all backgrounds within mainstream corporations need to strengthen their skills in high-tech crime prevention, response and investigation.
The Asia Pacific Chapter of the International High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) has therefore organised their first training conference in the Asia Pacific Region to provide the most advanced hands-on training for online security practitioners. In addition, one of the 3 days of the conference is devoted to management aspects of this field, due to the growing need for management to understand these critical issues.
Over 150 overseas and local guests will attend the 3-day conference to be held from this Wednesday to Friday (December 12 to 14) at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) campus. The conference is supported by HKU's Center for Information Security & Cryptography (CISC).
