Prize Presentation for Youth Writing Competition on Societal Integration

To enhance the writing capabilities of young people and to reach out to the community, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) has recently organised a Chinese writing competition for students of senior secondary level and above.
A total of 262 students have taken part in the "Hong Kong Central & Western District and Southern District Youth Writing Competition 2007" held in September and October this year. A prize presentation ceremony will be held this Saturday (December 22) to present awards to the 8 winners in each of the two categories.
All full-time students living or studying in the districts are eligible to participate -- F.4 and F.5 students belong to the "Junior Category" while those in F.6 to university Year-3 are in the "Senior Category". Participants can write anything related to the integration of HKU and the community.
The Competition is jointly organised by the HKU, the Federation of Parent-Teacher Associations of the Central and Western District, the Hong Kong Chinese Language Society and the Education Bureau; and is sponsored by the Central and Western District Council.
