HKU Graduates not affected by Financial Tsunami - HKU to announce the Employment Survey

Centre of Development and Resources for Students, HKU, will hold a press conference on April 16, 2009 (Thursday) on the 2008 graduate's employment survey. Despite the economic turmoil, HKU reaches the full employment rate for the third consecutive years.
Over 90% of interviewed graduates secured jobs offers by November 2008, reflects a buoyant employment market for fresh graduates in the first three quarters in 2008. Gross income also had an increase of near 10% over the previous year yet the choices of job offers seen a slight decline. Entering the year of 2009, there is a trend of downturn in number of job offers.
With the new government policy ‘Immigration Arrangement for Non-local Graduated (IANG)'implemented, 80% of mainland graduates chose to stay and work in Hong Kong.
