“HKU Mentorship 300,000 Hours” (師友三十萬小時) Book Launch and Inauguration Ceremony
19 Nov 2009
In the past 12 years, some 1,400 Mentors came together to contribute over 300,000 hours to make the HKU Mentorship Programme a success. The Programme has benefited some 6,000 HKU students and there have also been many spin-offs of similar programmes in Hong Kong.
To celebrate the 12th Anniversary of the HKU Mentorship Programme, the book entitled "HKU Mentorship 300,000 Hours"(師友三十萬小時) was launched at the Inauguration Ceremony on Thursday, November 19 at 7pm at Loke Yew Hall. Apart from the heartwarming stories of Mentors and Mentees in the book, it also features a DIY section for anyone who is interested in exploring the scheme further. As part of the University's outreach to community, we wish to share this valuable experience and are committed to provide free consultations to any NGOs and schools who would like to set up a mentoring programme on their own.
