HKU Faculty of Dentistry hosts the first symposium on Evidence-based Integrative Dentistry

The HKU Faculty of Dentistry, in collaboration with the HKU School of Chinese Medicine, The Faculty of Chinese Medicine of the Macau University of Science & Technology, and the journal Chinese Medicine, is organising the 1st Symposium on Evidence-based Integrative Dentistry, to be held on 11 December 2009 (Friday).
Evidence-based Integrative Dentistry (EBID) uses a contemporary, evidence-based approach to the application of complementary and alternative therapies, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), to modern dentistry. By focusing on holistic treatments, the growing field of EBID aims to bridge the gaps between dental practice and basic, translational, and clinical research, while promoting advancement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional education in Dentistry, Oral Biosciences, and Medicine.
