A Dialogue with Financial Secretary Mr John Tsang

Following the release of a new Budget, the Financial Secretary Mr John Tsang will join in a conversation with staff and students of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) on March 1 (Monday).
He will share his views on public finance and discuss with participants how to make use of fiscal policies to achieve long term strategic development of the territory. The event is jointly organised by the Faculty of Business and Economics and the Faculty of Social Sciences of HKU, to provide an opportunity for academic exchanges. A panel of academics and students from the two faculties will examine the fiscal policies of the Hong Kong government, with the student panelists looking particularly from the perspective of a younger generation to give their insights on policy areas hardly touched on in the current Budget and make recommendations.
