Civil Justice Reform – What Has It Achieved?

The University of Hong Kong and University College London will co-host a Conference on Civil Justice Reform (CJR) as part of the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law's 40th Anniversary celebrations. Academics, members of the profession and the Judiciary will look at civil justice reforms in Hong Kong, England, Australia and Canada, assess their effectiveness and consider whether any further changes should be made.
This is a major international conference with speakers from the UK, Australia and Canada. The Hon Chief Justice Andrew LIwill give an opening speech, and Lord Neuberger, the Lord Chief Justice of England & Wales will give a speech on the new approach to civil justice in UK. The Honourable Mr Justice Ma, Chief Judge of the High Court will give a keynote speech. The Secretary of Justice the Hon Wong Yan Lung and many other members of the Judiciary and the profession will join the discussions. Professor Malcolm Grant, Provost of University College London, will deliver a closer speech to conclude the conference.
