HKU Launches the First Cultural Leadership Programme in Asia Nurturing 100 cultural talents in 5 years

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in association with the Clore Leadership Programme in UK is pioneering the first cultural leadership programme in Asia.
The Advanced Cultural Leadership Programme (ACLP) aims to nurture young talent and re-envision those in senior positions to become outstanding cultural leaders who will transform the regions artistic landscape.
Short sessions of a few days to one week will be held over a year. International faculty from organizations such as Barbican Centre and National Theatre London, together with local and regional academics and cultural entrepreneurs will be invited to share their knowledge and experiences and join discussions with participants on how they could be applied in Hong Kong and in the region.
Professor Daniel Chua, Director of the programme and Head of HKU School of Humanities; and Professor Lung Ying Tai, one of the faculty and HKU Hung Leung Hau Ling Distinguished Fellow in Humanities will brief the media on their visions of the development of Hong Kong into a regional cultural centre and on details of the programme.
